# Soviet cargo ship sunk in error. Crew thought she was a Japnese ship damaged earlier.
SAND LANCE was decommissioned at San Francisco on February 14, 1946 and remaind in the reserve fleet until 1963 when she was recommissioned and turned over to the Brazilian Navy and served as the Rio Grande do Sol (S-11). She was sold to Brazil in 1972 and struck from the US Navy lists.
