The Fleet Boats

These boats were the culmination of the 4 decades of submarine design and research that  preceeded them and were the height of US technology leading into World War II. Each boat has been given its own page to speed loading of graphics. The list shows only boats launched up into 1940. Even though a few boats had their keels laid in 1939 and '40 they were not launched until 1941 so haven't made this list.
